Here are some of the common faults you will over time experience with your uPVC Door.
 
Dropped door: uPVC Doors usually drop as a result of not being Toe & Healed, this is one of the most common faults and if not addressed will result in the door lock fouling on the keeps and eventually breaking the Multi-Point-Lock.
 
The extra effort required to lift the handle to operate the Multi-Point-Lock will also cause the handle to break.
 
Broken Handles: Today all upvc doors have a door handle to operate the lock, more moving parts means more maintenance.
 
If your handles are limp and are dropping this can be a cause of the lock mechanism failing or just means you need to replace the handle set.
Worn Damaged Hinges: need replacing as soon as possible this will cause your door to drop and locking points can fail.
Lose Frames: Again this causes damage to your locking mechanism and receivers fixed to your frame.

If you make a mistake when identifying your locks and it is subsequently found that the lock does not match that described on your policy, your insurer may be inclined to reduce or refuse any payout.
